Urgent: City Council Whitewater Park Vote

On Monday August 23 2010 at 6pm the Spokane City Council, under the leadership of Jon Snyder on this issue, has proposed an resolution aimed at encouraging the City of Spokane Parks Department to step forward with the development of the Whitewater Park. In a sign of solidarity with the project it would be very beneficial to have paddlers present for this important hearing

Expressing support for the Spokane Parks Department’s completion of the Whitewater Park, as well as negotiations with the State Of Washington to adjust funding levels for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program grant.
