Temps went up, gas prices went up, Steve Bowstall showed up and most importantly scores went way up. In the most competitive round of Hydrotherapy yet there were more wheels and blunts cracked off per ride than Spokane has seen in a long time, Jud would have been proud.
After the last minute move (Thank you all for making it easy!) Hydrotherapy was at Trailer Park Wave at the perfect level - steep, retentive and deep! Big moves ranging from a Space Godzillas (name is cool but not as many points as Air Loop) to the biggest enders of the year.
For me the coolest part of this event was not the big moves but rather the new faces in the crowd that we look forward to seeing again next week. Hopefully Scott, Mike B, Dan T, Brian and Zack will bring a bigger crew next week. Stoked to have new faces on the wave, congratz to all of these competitors for coming out, smiling and hopefully learning something new.
Results were tight - there was a very contentious fight for the top score, as libberty put it "good game everyone!" 3 rounds of 45 second rides, accumulative points between the three rides.
