Last Thursday night Mini Climax was in and all six competitors were ready for an evening of fun on the dynamic wave. In the first round Dustin challenged all competitors to try something new. In a twenty minute session, each competitor was challenged to call a trick that they had never stuck at mini climax. One point for trying the move and five points if you could stick it. The energy in the eddy grew with every attempt for that donkey flip, mac nasty, loop, mystery flip, spin, blunt, etc. Many came close but at the end of the round all were tied at one point. Round two was a very entertaining double surf round. Each competitor partnered up for two rides and got creative. Many attempts at passing paddles and switching positions while on the wave provided great entertainment. In the end the high-light of the evening was getting all six of us on the wave at one time (even if it was only for half a second).
