With more votes for Dead Dog and river flows hovering at 16,000 CFS making it the predictable choice of the two. So Dead Dog hole at the state line exit east Appleway bridge is our site for the second 2009 Hydrotherapy Session.
We do need to assist an injured friend down the bank. We are looking for a 4 person team to carry Dustin Semb down the steep bank so we can get him into the water for the event. Just imagine the great sight as Dustin, finalist in 2008 at this location, makes his grand entrance to the river in his Tupperware throne on top of the shoulders of 4 neoprene clad paddlers.
Gary Lacey, renowned park builder and avid paddler, will be our Judge for this event, I'll be sure to bring a chair and boat for him. Rumor has it that he enjoys a cool beverage to celebrate Cinco De Mayo so the plan is to meet, paddle, play super hard, then pack up and head West to the nearest festivity celebration. There we will give awards, hob nob with Friends of the Falls members, and host the world premier Dave Turners new Whitewater Park promo movie! It may just be on a laptop but be ready for a great show!
