A strong group of boaters came out yesterday to enjoy the awesomeness of Mini Climax this week - The wave was in full force and had plenty of energy to throw big moves. 4 sets at 30 seconds challenged competitors to go big and make the ride count. Jud K. worked the score card after a heroic drive back from Missoula.
Dave Turner made the Spin to Win effort, the Green Machine showed what fins can do! Chris Hoffer had the curse of the Flushed Spokane Goldfish yesterday and after some really strong warm up rides flushed 3/4 rides - this top contender will have to come back next week to regain his point lead. Kurtis P. made the drive from Moscow to his Idahoian Russian province as well as Northwest River Supplies; his extremely strong first ride made everyone realize it was time to step up their rides. Liberty had a case of the giggles and laughed her way off the wave every round points or not and Rob P. came out and rode this trashy wave tornado style.
Thank you Northwest River Supplies! Thank you Mountain Gear! Thank you Flow Adventures! Prize ceramony was held at the Mission parking and all went home winners! Sorry about the lack of pics - battery was dead.
Notably absent was Steve Bailey who was headed to Wenatchee to join Kristie his beautiful bride to be in wedlock this weekend. Congratulations and best wishes to both of you! May the River Gods bless your ceremony with great flows and sunshine.
